Garden of the Gods

Luke had President's Day off so we used that weekend to make a little daytrip just a little over an hour south to Colorado Springs and decided to go see the Garden of the Gods. It was warm and sunny when we left but right as we entered Colorado Springs it got all cloudy and rainy. So we weren't quite prepared for that but luckily it was just a sprinkle and it didn't last too long. So we headed out and took a look around.

The rocks were really quite amazing. They were huge and had a lot of really neat shapes just randomly around the park. This one above is called "Camels Kissing" and this one below was Balaning Rock or something. As we got closer we could see that it really was balancing on hardly anything- it was really neat!
We even got a good laugh about another rock that we saw because Luke said it looked just like our ultrasound picture, so we said the baby was here with us too. But out of decency, I won't show the picture of the rock... but it still made us laugh :)
Jacob and I also found a cool little cave to walk into...

And not the best picture of Luke and I but I said we needed to document that he was actually there! Afterwords we went to a barbeque restaurant that he really wanted to go to- it was packed! And that was it- we would have hit up the outlets on the way home but it started storming again and we were already tired. But it was nice to get out for a day and enjoy some time together!
