Easter

Easter...cute matching outfits... you know the drill.

Easter morning the boys found their Easter baskets before church, though Jacob was getting worried when he found Blake's but took him awhile to find his own basket. And am I the only person who saved leftover candy from Christmas to put in their baskets for Easter? I thought it wasn't a bad idea... who says all Easter candy needs to be egg shaped and pastel? Luckily my kids don't care!

I was a little behind this year, so we didn't dye any eggs until Easter afternoon, but that was fine with me. They still made great devilled eggs that night for dinner. Jacob loved coloring them all, and if you can't tell, he's already high on candy at this point.
When Blake finally woke up from his nap they did an egg hunt in the front yard. Jacob wanted to stop and open every egg as he went along, and Blake wouldn't pick any up- just stole them from Jacob, ha.
Two cute boys.
So it really was a nice Easter and a beautiful day. After doing a lot of the traditional fun stuff, we had a nice dinner, and watched the movie The Testaments. If you haven't seen it- watch it! I love that movie and it was perfect for Easter and remembering all Christ has done for us.
Oh yea, and we recently bought a chest freezer... which comes in a large box...which automatically turns into an awesome play house. I cut out a door and windows, and even turned an inside flap into a TV! The boys spent most of the day hiding inside their house secretly eating their Easter candy. This house has continued to provide hours of entertainment throughout the week!
Along with this mask and cape.
I love this SuperBaby... whoever he is ;)
