The first week of November we had the most beautiful warm fall weather so I tried to soak it up as much as possible! The colorful leaves had their last time to shine, and one day Jacob had early-release so we had a picnic with Luke while Blake was at preschool. It was nice getting some time with Jacob and we loved sitting by the stream at the Saratoga Spa State Park. It has become one of my new favorite spots!
Jacob and I (and Ava) took a little walk and found the talked about geyser too!
In the beginning of November Ava also turned 6 months! This month felt like she was really starting to grow up more, starting new stages, becoming more vocal, and getting some of her personality through.
I love her little peach hair starting to grow in more!
While she usually still needs support sitting she has also gotten better at sitting unsupported. She doesn't enjoy being put down on the floor much, but when she is lying on her back she instantly puts her feet to her mouth and pulls her socks off.
Here's a quick spotlight on Jacob too. I'm in love with his first grade school picture! He has made some friends at school and church and is happy with things here. He said he loves our house and hopes we never move again, although he does still miss his closest friends from Denver too. At school he is working really hard at reading and making great improvements, we're so proud of him!
Blake is my little buddy and such a good helper!
This month Blake also had a fun field trip to a horse farm where he got to feed and brush the horses, and then got to ride a pony. He was insistent he wasn't going to ride so I was shocked that he did, but proud! He did great- it was a really easy ride ;)
He also was the cutest when his class did a little Turkey Trot just before Thanksgiving. (I love how happy he is when he's at school!)
He was very proud of the hand print turkey t-shirt he made. His class also sang an adorable little song together. I love that he's enjoying both his preschool classes and learning so much this year too!
We had a relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving at home as a family. It was a beautiful day!
It was a pretty typical Thanksgiving- Luke smoked us a nice turkey, we played outside, and we had a great dinner.
Mostly, I was just thankful for my sweet family and our beautiful new home in New York! We have so much to be grateful for!
