Pit Stop in Albuquerque

For the week of New Years we were headed to Dallas for my brother's wedding, but we decided to add a couple days to our vacation and first make a stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico to visit Luke's college friend Clay and his wife and daughter. We took off on a Sunday after church and made it to their house that evening.
On the drive things did get a little crazy when our speedometer stopped working and said we were going 120 mph the whole way, it was super weird but we made it in ok. Luckily we had a day to rest in Albuquerque and give the car a break.
The boys were excited to meet Sophia and their dogs and play with all their new toys. Sophia is only a month older than Blake but she and Jacob actually got along well.
We had a nice baked French toast breakfast together and then headed out to the Children's Museum downtown and the boys had so much fun! There were lots of things for them to play and experiment with, even a Thomas train track!
We would've loved to stay longer and let the boys play but Blake started to get really cranky and we were all getting ready for lunch, so we went to a Mexican place and then played back at the house while Blake took a nap and Luke and Clay went out.
They had lots of awesome toys to play with so the boys had a great time and it was fun for us to visit with our friends again.
We went out to pizza that night with their family and had a fun time. The kids even watched them making pizza in the back. We left the next morning on Tuesday, but it was fun to have an extra little vacation day and for Luke and Clay to get their quality time together!
