No, we did not crash our cars- we just went and saw a demo derby! Luke and I used to go to them all the time when we lived in Idaho and always had so much fun and this was the first time we were able to go to one since we've lived in Colorado.
One of Luke's closest friends was visiting from New Mexico so he came with us and we brought the boys too. And although Jacob was confused and concerned at first, he ended up really liking the "cars- crash!" and still talks about it, even though this was a few weeks ago now.
So not only did Jacob get to witness cars crashing into each other, but also an ambulance...
and the big trucks that were needed to lift all the cars off when it was over. (Everyone was ok by the way.)
We also saw motorcyclists doing races which was also a lot more fun than we expected, and I think Jacob had a good time!
By the time the derby was over it was late, but we had to walk back through the county fair to get back to our car so Jacob checked out some animals like the cows and sheep- which he really liked and was even petting too.
And we even got to see fireworks go off as we left. So it was a fun night and I'll need to make sure the next time they do the fair we make it more of a day event!
