First Easter in Saratoga

After our day in Legoland, John and Brenda drove up to spend the rest of the weekend with us, which was already Easter weekend in late March! We decided to embrace Saratoga and went to Congress Park for some Easter games and fun.
Blake was not in the mood to participate in anything, so Jacob enjoyed sitting in the fire engine, the merry-go-round, and playing all the games they had set up.
Blake didn't even want a balloon but since they were free we got him a blue sword anyway and finally he ran around and had some fun. It started to warm up too so it was an enjoyable morning!
After the park, we took the boys to McDonalds, dropped Blake off at a birthday party, then picked up subs for our lunch and ate them at the Spa Park. We went for a nice walk and showed Luke's parents the geyser, and then we all came home, enjoyed the day, and made pizza together that night.

That night for the first time we also tried dying easter eggs with whipped cream to give a marbled effect, and I think they turned out pretty good!
Easter morning the boys were excited as always to find their Easter baskets, and have way too much sugar for breakfast!

We went to church together, and Ava and I dressed in matching dresses!
After church Ava finally found her Easter basket, and she liked her new bunny!
She also really liked playing with all the Easter eggs, and was constantly taking them out one by one!
She was so darling I couldn't help myself from taking loads of pictures!
Finally, as tradition, we did an Easter egg hunt in the backyard, the first one in our new backyard!
I think Jacob was pretending to be a zombie hunter and would shoot the eggs as he found them!
I think it's cute that they still get excited to open the eggs when they all literally just have jelly beans!
Once Ava woke up from her nap she got to join in too and had to find all the pink and purple eggs!
The boys thought she was pretty cute as she put each egg in her mouth as she found them :)
Such a happy baby on a nice Easter day!
It was nice to have family in town to enjoy the weekend and spend Easter together! And as always, grateful for my sweet family and spending time together keeping traditions and making new memories!
